Missoni Crazed

Ever since Missoni came to Target, I've been on a craze trying to hunt down their bright and beautiful zig-zagged clothes and home accessories! No luck in that department... (It was on the news that people actually got trampled the day their line arrived in Target!) So I've settled with a few look-alike pieces, like this dress from F21, and some chevron pillow cases from Etsy that make great accent pieces. Though, I'm still on the lookout for a great Missoni-like laptop case and umbrella!

Also, I'm obsessed with these booties/wedges. It's almost like an illusion that I'm wearing flats, but I'm not! There's a hidden heel in there. :) On another note.. Have any of you guys tried the sock bun?! I never realized how easy it really is! It holds great and is super comfy. Learn how to here.

Lovely in Lace

There's something about lace that adds the perfect touch to an outfit. It's daintiness is so womanly and almost powerful. I suppose also the see-through-ness gives a bit of a sexy feel as well. Lace is by far my favorite fabric textile. I could wear it everyday ;)

This little number, or I should say long number, is one of my vintage pieces that I have yet to post in the shop. I love love love it! Perfect over a solid maxi dress.

Ohhh! And I received these lovely earrings as a Christmas gift from Ty. I'm obsessed. They are the most wonderful amount of sparkle and shine in a gorgeous teardrop shape. Ah! To die for. You can buy them here.

CHEERS to the New Year!

 Hello again! With the start of the new year I thought it would be a good idea to get my blog started up again! This year is the start of many new beginnings for me and I'm so excited to share them with my followers.

I spent my Christmas holiday in the South and came across this lovely vintage beauty. Beaded silk from India... I adore it. It's just the perfect amount of sparkle to ring in the new years. It shall be posted in the shop very soon.

Cat Deeley's Jumpsuit

Here I am wearing Cat Deeley's beloved item I won from her wardrobe! It's almost unreal that I am in one of my idol's pieces of clothing. And like Cat said, it really does feel like I'm in my pajamas!

Tribal Glam

I was dubbed "designated mommy" this past weekend while the parents were on vacation, having to deal with my two little sisters. Our age differences are pretty large, so they enjoy calling me "Mom" while we're out in public, making my cheeks flush while everyone stares at how ridiculously young a "Mom" I am for 2 kids. Being in this situation, scolding them or giving them a sisterly smack on the toosh causes an even bigger scene. Therefore... we spent most of the weekend at home. I love my sisters don't get me wrong, but we are sisters, and we do tend to fight. We had a good time swimming in the pool and just hanging out together without parental supervision, which they aren't used to.

On a more exciting note, some of my girlfriends and I are planning a trip during the winter break to a place, hopefully south of the equator, where the season will be warm! Summer is my favorite season, and I can't wait to have it again in December during our exotic excursion! We haven't decided on a place yet, but wherever we go, I know it will be a good time with my girls :)

Rusted Ruffles

Today was spent organizing my room and eating ice cream with Ty while watching our favorite TV show, True Blood. I spent the whole day in pajamas so when it was time to go out and get ice cream, I thought this outfit put together was genius- a basic tank tucked into some loose cotton shorts with a little bit of ruffle for playfulness and a comfy shrug draped on top. Pink ruffle sandals and a brown belt and I was out the door, with my ponytail still in!

I had some more fun with my Lime Crime lipsticks and put on 'Great Pink Planet' to add to the playfulness!

New Arrivals

I've finally received my Lime Crime lipsticks in the mail and could not be happier! In these pictures, I'm wearing COSMOPOP which is my new favorite orange lipstick. In the mail I also received my new Disco Glam sunnies from Free People that I adore so much. I normally don't like to purchase sunglasses online, but I've been looking for a big cat eye pair for so long, especially in tortoise and I could not pass these ones up!

Last night, my mom and I spent a (much needed) mother daughter evening shopping at the outdoor Spectrum in Irvine where I got this spectacular denim jacket from one of my favorite stores, Anthropologie! I thought it was just so unique and I loved the cool collar and drawstring. Best part... it was the last one...and an x-small...and was only $9.95... such a steal!! My mom got some super cute boho-indie slouchy sweaters that she's going to look so great in. It was getting chilly that night so right after we made our purchases, we asked the cashier to cut off the tags so we could wear our jackets out the store!

These orange sandals were also one of my purchases from last night. They stood out so obvious in the store that I had to have them. They feel like summer and match my neon toes so well! :)

Today was a working day where I spent my afternoon at the bookstore flipping through a stack about a foot-high in magazines and took down lots of great notes. This kind of work is way fun for me though! I would much rather read fashion magazines than do anything else! ♥

Sundress

Here's my new favorite weekend sundress I purchased recently at Forever 21!

I dressed it up with a maroon/brown bandeau top that peeks out from under the eyelet holes, and my nude slingback wedges from Aldo.
